-Saturated fats are typically solid in room temperature each gram contains 9 calories.

-It doesn't contain double bonds between fatty acids.

-It contains short, medium, long , extra long of chain fatty acids.

-The recommended amount of total calories is 10%.

What is the benefits of the saturated fats?

-It increases the good cholesterol.

What are the damages of the saturated fats?

-It increases risk of heart disease as it leads to the accumulation of the bad cholesterol in the arteries.

-Weight gain as eating fast food leads to increasing the number of calories consumed in the diet.

- It increases the risk of infection and mental deterioration.

  • Meat, such as; Beef, lamb, and chicken skin, in addition to meat products such as sausages.
  • Dairy products, such as; Butter, cheese and cream.
  • Tropical oils, such as; Coconut Oil.
  • Some baked and fried foods, and sweets such as cookies.
